419. GITA 3 KARMA YOGA



GITA  3                 KARMA  YOGA

      Karma means work. Yoga means doing that thing without attachment.
      We cannot live without karma.
      Even if we are sitting idle, saying that I am not doing any work, that means internal parts of the body, mind, all are still working.
     
9]        Ch. 3                  Slokam  21

Yadya daacharathi srestaha / tatva deve taro janaha
Sayat pramanam kurute /  lokastadanu vartate

      Whatever work that is done by great people, the common people too follow that.
      Whatever things they take as standard, the common people too take it as standard.

      It takes a lot of time, efforts, pains, struggle, vision, sacrificing nature, and lot more to a common man to become a great man.

      The great man may be sometimes during his life time, or after his death.

Gandhiji:
1. In his beginning stage, nobody cared to attend his meetings. After his success at Champaran and Ahmadabad then only he became great. Then he could lead India towards independence from the British.

2. His way of life, his standards towards life, his self discipline, all are followed and imbibed by the people.

Eg.s        1] Acharya Vinobabhave followed Gandhiji, imbibed his food habits, living style, conducted Bhoodanodyamam and distributed 10,00,000 acres of land to the poor and the needy.

      2] The entire Congress leaders accepted him their leader and blindly followed his word. There was no other say to his decision.

Lincoln:
      Lincoln became the President of USA after 10 failures. He proved himself the best benevolent President of USA.
      He was a man firm determination.
      His aim was to bring 13th amendment to the constitution of USA regarding abolition of slavery.
      His far sightedness was marvellous.
      He was the most respected, and felt to the heart of the people.

Buddha:
He was a prince. He was to become the king of Kapilvastu after Suddhodhana. He never cared for those luxuries. He was in search of truth.

Buddhism’s main aim was
1.      to introduce logic among people so that they can solve their problems
2.      to believe anything that is visible
3.      not to believe
i.                    any imaginary/virtual thing like heaven,
ii.                  hell,
iii.                pujari can do amendment to our sins,
iv.                good day,
v.                  bad day,
vi.                slaughtering animals for heaven,
vii.              all types of yagas
a.  aswamedham
b. naramedha
c.  poudarikam
d. vajipeyam
e.  raja suyam

4.      after the death of Buddha many condemned things entered into rituals.

If people are ready to believe and follow something virtual world who can stop them?

He was a original thinker.
Whatever he realized and preached to the world became basic to the next coming religions.

His ideology became as Buddhism.
Today there are millions of them all over the world,


Chanukya / Adi Shankara / Ramana Maharshi / the British / Honeymoon / Einstein: / Churchill /

These are a few of the millions of people Who have done acharana, and pramana so that today we recollect them.
We study them in our text books.
We give their names to our children.
We hand their photos in our houses.
We explain about these people to our of kin.
