305. Q. & A.s SCI. & TECH. – 16

Q. &  A.s  ‑‑‑  SCI.  &  TECH. – 16

425Q. What is    XNA?
XNA  means an artificial genetic material.  This  XNA (xeno-nucleic acid) was reported to be capable of replication in the test tube much like real DNA.

426Q. What is the difference between yagnam and yagam?
In yagnam there is burning of ghee, grain, etc.
In yagam the is slaughter.
1.      Rajasuyam = killing one male and  one female from each species and throwing them into fire on the name of puja.
2.      Naramedham = in this a young boy is slaughtered at the end of puja and thrown into fire.
Eg. Sunssepa who was made balipasuvu was saved by  Viswamitra
3.      Vajapeyam = in this a goat or goats sacrificed at the end of puja.
4.      Ashvamedham = in this a horse is worshipped and left it out to wander across lands. If any king catches hold of this, then he has to fight against the sender. If the horse is not caught, that means the owner of the region accepts the supremacy of the sender.
Eg. Rama sent ashvam which was caught by Lava and Kusa
5.      Poundareekam = one young male and one female are selected for this. They both perform dance naked in front of all the public, do intercourse, and complete the puja.

427Q. What is  Pioneer X ?
It is believed that in our galaxy its self there are at least 3 civilisations. Where they are located? how do they look like? Etc  are not known.
So scientists had sent Pioneer X, a space satellite in 1974.  It crossed the solar system in 1984.
If it will be caught, if the beings will be more intelligent than us, they open the satellite, and find from where that is sent. There is gold flake. On top of that man and female figures are engraved. By seeing that they may understand us.

428Q. When you descend in a giant wheel you get fear. Why?
It is because of loss of weight.

429Q. Today’s North will not tomorrow’s North. Why?
Earth has oscillating motion. It oscillates 47o. It takes this in a year. That is why whatever today’s North changes the next day.

430Q. what is the difference between GN [geographical north] and MN [magnetic north]?
GN is formed on the extreme north point.
MN is formed due to Earth’s magma’s rotation.
The difference between these is 17o.

431Q. Why the poles are formed in North and South directions, but not in East and West?
The rotation of the Earth is from West to East. 90o to that is North and South.  That is why poles are in north and south directions.
It is because, the ionized sate of matter of magma rotates from west to east. Magnetic  field is created in north and south directions.

432Q. what is time?
The angle of sun ray falling on the earth is called time.

433Q. what is time reversal theory?
It was proposed by Albert Einstein in 1900.
Any object travelling faster than earth’s rotation, that object  can fly ahead of time. That is why time goes back.
Eg., Concorde. This plane used to travel at 2500 kmph. Earth’s rotation is 1600 kmph.
Before light ray can reach the next place of destiny Concorde used to travel. This was proved in 1960.

434Q. what is pseudo gravity?
It is used in space ships to provide artificial internal gravity directed towards centre of the ship.
Space ships are spherical with pseudo gravity system in the centre.
        It has special generators.
No ac celebration is felt inside when spaceship is accelerated.
It is limited to LSA of the SS not far.
People in space ship live normally, otherwise they will be hanging.

435Q. If we stand on North pole itself what direction will the magnet show?
If we stand anywhere on earth the compass shows the north and south directions.  If we stand on the north itself, compass doesnot show any direction. That time people use Gycoscope.

436Q. Why the value of “g” differs from planet to planet and star to star?
The value of g depends on
1.      The volume of matter
2.      Rotation speed
3.      Plasma present

437Q. What is inclination?
When a bar magnet is suspended freely on equator, it lies horizontally towards the poles. If the magnet is brought near towards a pole, it tilts making an angle. As the magnet is brought  near to the pole of the Earth, the opposite pole of the bar magnet makes 90o at the pole. This is called inclination.

438Q. Why does a top rotating on its needle stands erect?
It is due to artificial gravity.
439Q. what is the basis for magnetic property?
The interior of the Earth has magma. It rotates at 1600 kmph. Its state is plasma. The ionised state of  plasma when rotates, magnetic field is created  at its 90o.

440Q. What is escape velocity?
When an object should fly away the planet, it should have velocity higher than the g value. Then only it can escape. It is called escape velocity.

441Q. Why does the escape  velocity of an object change from planet to planet?
The escape velocity changes from planet to planet because the g value changes from planet to planet.
Eg. The earth has g = 9.8 m/sec2 so its escape velocity is 11.2 kmps.

442Q. Can you create a monopole?
No.

443Q. What is magneto therapy?
Using magnet if disorders of some parts of body can be rectified it is called magneto therapy.

444Q. What is GMT?
During the imperialistic times, the British used to rule nearly 54 countries. The whole world was not having a common measure of time. That was why the longitude passing through Greenwich Village was taken as 0o and time is calculated. Accordingly the times of other places were counted.

445Q. How does North show North?
Earth’s north is in the south. The north of compass shows the south.

446Q. Why vastu north is wrong?
1.      Vastu is not same all over the world.
2.      Vastu depends on climatic conditions, wind directions, etc.
3.      How can a stone or cement can decide the fate of human being.
4.      India has irregular shapes with regard to vastu…
5.      If we search for correctness in incorrect land how far it is correct?

447Q. Why IST?
It is a large country.
From west to east there is a time gap of three hours.
That means if it is 3AM in Gujarat it will be 5 AM  in Arunachal Pradesh.
If with in a country there are so many time zones, for various purposes there will be many problems such as Railways, air crafts, channel transmission, etc.
To avoid this, whatever is the time on 82 1/2o longitude is applied to the entire India.  That means the time on this line will be at exactly at 4 AM.
That time is applied to entire India.
This is called IST.

448Q. What is artificial moon?
A satellite which has a saucer like base of 62meters dia. is placed in geostationary orbit. On this the sun’s heat falls for 24 hours except few minutes. This saucer like dish reflects the light of sun falling on it. It works like a Moon. This  moon is called artificial moon.

449Q. when will sun die?
Inside sun nuclear fusion reactions go on in millions. The energy liberated is the energy that we receive. After some time if the hydrogen gas needed for fusion reaction is over, that is the death of the Sun.

450Q. A stone sinks but a ship floats. Why?
When a ship floats in water it displaces certain amount of volume of water. If that much of water is collected in a plate of balance and the ship in another plate are placed and weighed then the weight of the water is heavier than the ship itself. That is why ship floats.
In the case  of a nail it is reverse. That is why nail sinks.
