Currency Note Press, Nashik Road, was established in the year 1928 with the objective of printing currency/bank notes of denominations as per the requirements and indents placed by Reserve Bank of India from time to time.

With more than 75 years of experience in currency printing, SPMCIL has printed currency/bank notes not only for India but also for many other countries.

The two currency printing units at Dewas & Nasik road are equipped with the latest state of the art currency production facilities for production of currency/bank notes which include Dry Offset, Intaglio and Numbering Technology & automatic processing.

The two units have a combined capacity of printing more than 5.5 billion pieces of currency of different denominations and sizes

The notes carry most modern security features viz.
1.     UV fiber,
2.     watermark,
3.     thread,
4.     latent image,
5.     color shift,
6.     transfer image,

Bank Note Press, Dewas

Bank Note Press, Dewas, was established in 1973 and it is notified as commercial Undertaking under Ministry of Finance. It prints Bank Notes of Rs.20, Rs.50/-, Rs.100/- and Rs.500/- denominations. This Press also manufactures security inks for various security organizations. Its annual licensed and installed capacity is 2400 million pieces and production during 10.2.2006 to 31.3.2006 is 251.074 million pieces

The two units have a combined capacity of printing more than 5.5 billion pieces of currency of different denominations and sizes.

The notes carry most modern security features viz. UV fiber, watermark, thread, latent image, color shift, transfer image, UV & Intaglio feature etc.

India Security Press, Nashik Road was established in the year 1925 and it is notified as commercial industrial unit under the administrative control of Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance.

It prints & supply Judicial/non-judicial stamp papers all types of
1.     postal & non postal stamps &
2.     stationery,
3.     passports,
4.     visa &
5.     other travel documents,
6.     MICR &
7.     Non-MICR Cheques in continuous Stationery form,
8.     Identity Cards,
9.     Railway Warrants,
10.  Income Tax Return Order Forms,
11.  Saving Instruments (IPOs & KVP, IVP Certificates,) etc.

These security documents are printed & supplied to various State Governments & . of Central Governments. including Department of Posts, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of External Affairs as well as RBI.

India Security Press at Nasik is fully equipped with state of art technology for designing and manufacturing a variety of Passports , Visa and other traveling documents. ISP has got capacity of manufacturing more than 4 million Passports and 3 million Visa stickers in a year. Passport has got unmatched security features like UV feature, heat activated UV fill with micro feature, water mark, multicolor UV thread etc. VISA sticker is manufactured by using multicolor printing, UV feature, OEM feature etc.

This organization was established in the year 1982 and it is notified as commercial industrial unit under the administrative control of Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance. 

It is responsible for printing & supply of
1.     low denomination Non-Judicial Stamp papers,
2.     Postal Stamps &
  1. Postal Stationery to Department of Post.


Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad
Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad, was established in 1968 and it is notified as non-commercial undertaking under the administrative control of Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance.

This unit is responsible for manufacturing of different types of Security Papers.

Papers manufactured by this unit is used for printing of currency/bank notes and Non-Judicial Stamps which are being printed by Currency Note Press, & Bank Note Press Dewas and India Security Press and SPP.

Security paper Mill at Hoshangabad, with experience of more than 40 years, is fully equipped for manufacturing of security paper required for Currency and Non Judicial Stamps
