Def:- Noun is the name of a place or person or thing.

N O U N  -  KINDS

There are five kinds of nouns.

1.       Proper Noun : the name of a place, person or thing.

                        Bombay,  Rama

2.      Common Noun: if place is changed, its name doesnot change

                        Pen, city, boy

3.      Collective Noun: the names of groups

                        Class, staff, herd, bunch

4.      Material Noun: the name of solids, liquids,  or gases

                        Gold, water, oxygen

5.      Abstract Noun: the name of  feeling, taste, vision, etc.

                        Kindness, marvellous, excellence,

        N O U N  -  TYPES

NOUNS are again two types.

1.       Countable Nouns. The nouns which can be counted as one, two, three,…

                        A bench,   two boys,   hundred dogs

2.      Uncountable Nouns. The nouns which cannot be counted.

                        Waters,  gases,  golds, courages, 

Nouns which are countables will only have PLURAL FORMS
