ADVERB -- TYPES


ADVERB --  TYPES

Adverb is a word that indicates how an action took place.
It amplifies a verb.

1] OF TIME :- now, then, ago, early, befoe, soon, yet, late

2] OF MANNER:- bravely, wisely, clearly, carefully, quickly, badly, slowly, sadly, safely, secretly, frankly, openly, well

3] OF PLACE:- here, there, everywhere, nowhere, in, out, up

4] OF FREQUENCY:- frequently, never, rarely, often, sometimes, twice, thrice, usually, regularly, ever, seldom

5] OF DURATION:- for a year, from 15th, till 5 O’clock

6] INTERROGATIVE ADVERBS:- how, where, when why

7] OF NUMBER :-
[a] always,  sometimes, ever, never, seldom, daily, often, frequently, again,
[b] once, twice, thrice
[c] first, second, thirdly, lastly

8] OF QUALITY :-
[a] well, ill, so, thus, perhaps,
[b] slowly, quickly,

9] OF QUANTITY :-
Almost, fully,  quite,  scarcely, completely, partly, much, enough, little,

10] OF DEGREE :- greatly, very, badly, nearly, hardly, terribly, 

11] OF AFFIRMATION :- surely, certainly, undoubtedly, indeed, truly, verily, by all means, yes

12] OF NEGATION :- no, not, nay, not at all

13] OF CAUSE and EFFECT :- therefore, hence, so, why, wherefore, consequently, on account of, because of

14] EXCALMATORY :- how! What!
